Being the "first" in anything is hard. From my lived experience, being a first generation college student can be nerve-racking as you have to navigate a countless amount of choices before, during, and after your college journey. While I was fortunate enough to be in a space that allowed me to experiment and make mistakes, it is not necessarily true for everyone. My goal for the work that I do is to help students of any background better navigate the college application and college process through an informed and supportive approach that places value on the individual and the choices that make sense for them.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College and a Masters with Distinction in Design Studies, in the field of History and Philosophy of Design and Media from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. Currently, I work as a college coach for Eastside College Preparatory School, mentoring and advising first-generation college students at varying stages of their academic journey. I was born and raised in the Lower East Side, New York and currently live in Oakland, California.
During my free time, I read and collect comic books, build keyboards, and ride my vintage Trek bike.
